Default Ghostly Definitions

I'm just going to write about the types of ghosty stuff that we'll probably need to know about in this forum.

Ectoplasm/ghostly mist

Appearance: Looks like a weird swirly mist mostly. Sometimes it looks like a more human shape.

Locations: Graveyards mostly, but anywhere else too.

What it is: Spirits turn into this before turning into their full body form when they appear.

Non-paranormal: Could sometimes be misty breath on a cold day, smoke from something like a cigarette or even just a blurry camera lens.

Picture:

Orbs

Appearance: Looks like a floating ball of light.

Locations: Anywhere.

What it is: Believed to be a spirit travelling about wanting to go long distances.

Non-paranormal: Dust particles, insects, rain drops, accidentally made by the camera itself.

Picture:

Vortex/Funnel Ghost

Appearance: Looks like a swirly funnel shape.

Locations: Indoors, mostly in old haunted places.

What it is: Nobody is sure, but they think it's probably a ghost of somebody visiting like a family member or somebody who used to live in the house.

Non-paranormal: Accidentally made by the camera itself.

Picture:

Shadow Ghosts

Appearance: A black ectoplasmy shape shaped like a human shadow.

Locations: Anywhere, mostly indoors though

What it is: Just a ghost in one of its forms. Some say they're demonic but that's sort of been proven to not always be true.

Non-paranormal: Accidentally made by the camera itself or a normal shadow.

Continued:

Apparitions

Appearance: A see through body wearing the clothes of the period it died in. Not always a whole body, normally faint too.

Locations: Anywhere really.

What it is: Just a ghost or spirit in one of its forms. Very rarely seen or captured on camera.

Non-paranormal: Accidentally made by the camera itself by mixing two pictures up.

If you think I've missed something tell me here, or if you want to ask questions too. I've not said anything about fakes in the Non-paranormal bits because everybody knows about fakes.

Thanks for that Riffles. Was it you who said on HPF they're a psychic. I'd like a good definition for that too.

Once we've got lots of definitions I'll edit them into the early posts.

Completely random and off topic but for some reason going on about psychic types reminded me of pokemon...

Also sorry Riffles, I accidentally put that edit into your post not mine, that's why it says I edited your post.
